A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Grade calculator questions, answered

What is MyGradePlan?
MyGradePlan is a free online grade calculator and course planner. It helps you calculate a current course grade, work out the final exam score needed for a target, compare possible future scores, and track courses in one place. It supports points-based and weighted-category courses.
How do I calculate the score I need on my final?
Enter your grade before the final, the final’s percentage weight, and your target course grade. For example, an 82% current grade with a final worth 25% needs a 74% final score to finish at 80%: (82 × 0.75) + (74 × 0.25) = 80. This assumes the final is the only remaining grade. Use the final exam calculator.
Should I use a weighted or points grade calculator?
Use the weighted calculator when your syllabus gives categories a percentage, such as exams 60% and homework 40%. Use the points calculator when your grade is total points earned divided by total points possible. For example, 180 out of 200 points is 90%. Check your syllabus step by step.
Can I find out whether my target grade is still possible?
Yes, under the course rules and scores you enter. Add all remaining assignments and confirm the complete plan before checking a target or comparing scenarios. MyGradePlan distinguishes your recorded grade from results based on assumed future scores. A planned result is not a prediction of your performance.
Do I need an account, and where are my saved grades?
No account is required. You can calculate without saving. If you choose to save a course, it stays in the browser and device where you saved it; it does not automatically sync to other devices. Export a backup before clearing browser data or switching browsers. Read how saving and privacy work.
Will this match my school’s official grade?
It can match when the scores and supported grading rules match. Missing work, dropped quizzes, category weights, extra credit and rounding policies can change the result. Your instructor’s gradebook remains the official source. Find out why two grades may differ.
Is MyGradePlan really free?
Yes. Every calculator and guide is free, with no account, trial or paywall. The public pages may show clearly labeled ads; the calculator itself never does.
